  A NEW Answer to Frequent Coil Replacements

The coil-on-plug ignition  on the 4.6L and 5.4L Ford engines have many problems:
The majority of coil replacements has to do with the design of the connector boots and springs.  Boots are prone to burn-through and arcing.  Poor fitting springs sometimes weld themselves onto the spark plug or coil, making removal difficult without stretching the springs completely out of shape when changing the spark plugs or removing the coil.
